The new roles will sit within its recently formed Deal Transformation North team, led by Deloitte director Adam Batson.

The team provides value creation services and support for companies involved in complex transactions including carve-outs, demergers, initial public offerings and integrations. Its work also covers specialist support in human resources, finance and technology.

Deloitte said the expansion responds to demand for value creation and M&A services.

The hiring in the North will enhance its ability to bring “more specialist expertise closer to clients and draw on talent from across the UK”, the ‘Big Four’ company said in the statement.

The plan also forms part of its UK Places strategy, which includes growing its Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory business outside London.

Batson said: “As value creation becomes harder and transactions are increasingly complex, clients want access to specialist expertise that understands their businesses and is close to where they operate.

“This expansion not only brings our specialist expertise closer to our clients but also creates an opportunity for Deal Transformation professionals to build their careers and achieve partnership outside London in a way that is, at present, unique in the market.”

Deloitte recently relocated its Midlands headquarters to One Centenary Way in Birmingham. The professional services company will occupy two floors in the building.
