These agents are intended to operate collectively to carry out full audit and assurance workflows rather than working as stand-alone tools.

Deloitte said the approach will provide its nearly 85,000 Audit & Assurance professionals worldwide with “enhanced insights and deep risk analysis”.

The ‘Big Four’ company added that the agentic intelligence network has been built by its in‑house engineering teams and is designed to expand as new technologies and capabilities become available.

Deloitte & Touche chair and CEO Dipti Gulati said: “Our continued investments in AI and innovation are central to how we deliver quality and build trust in the capital markets.

“As complexity increases, the combination of advanced technology and our professionals’ judgment and experience enables us to deliver confidence at scale.”

According to the company, Omnia’s connected agentic intelligence can address data‑heavy client operations by integrating and extending AI already present on the platform.

Within this environment, AI agents can review information to identify potential risk indicators and generate real-time, context-aware responses to support professional decisions.

They are also able to handle initial tasks such as extracting data, analysing evidence, drafting core documentation and forming early stage conclusions for auditors to assess.

In addition, the agents can support reviews of compliance with regulatory rules and disclosure obligations.

All AI tools on Omnia are developed in line with Deloitte’s Trustworthy AI framework, which the company said embeds governance, controls and compliance throughout the life cycle of the technology.

Deloitte US Audit and Assurance chief strategy and transformation officer Eric Johnson said: “With Omnia we are enabling our professionals to meet an ever-changing environment, enhance information gathering and validation, and deliver a more connected, insight-driven experience across engagements.”

Deloitte recently launched the Adopt 100 initiative in partnership with Nvidia to expedite AI adoption in large organisations.
