UK-headquartered accountancy association MGI Worldwide has broadened its Portuguese network by adding GPRM as its new member.

GPRM, based in a key business district of Lisbon, was created in 2019 through the merger of two companies. It offers accounting, tax, payroll and general business management services.

The practice has around 30 consultants supporting clients with routine operations and broader strategic decisions.

It also provides temporary company headquarters registration for investors entering Portugal, giving them a recognised commercial address.

GPRM partner Ricardo Miguel said: “We aim to be your premier partner in Portugal, extending the same high standard of service to your clients as we do our own: advising on all management decisions, first-line support, and a key contributor to finding the best solutions.”

GPRM works through a fully digital, largely paperless system, using AI-based tools to manage workflows and improve access to client records.

GPRM partner Gonçalo Peres said: “We were impressed by the scale and geographical coverage of the MGI network; with Portugal going through an expansion phase, we believe we can be a member that adds further value and dimension to MGI.”

The move increases MGI Worldwide’s presence in Portugal, which already includes Martins Pereira, João Careca & Associados and MGI Associados.

GPRM’s entry adds further tax and accounting capacity for clients in the local market, MGI said.

In January this year, MGI Worldwide expanded its West African footprint with the addition of Cabinet d’Expertise Comptable & de Conseils (CE2C) to its network.

Established in 2014, CE2C operates from Abidjan, Ivory Coast’s main economic centre.
