PwC Australia has unveiled the next phase of its workforce AI upskilling programme to prepare staff, partners and clients for a changing professional services market.
The new initiatives expand on the company’s earlier work to develop responsible and practical AI skills at all seniority levels.

PwC Australia CEO Kevin Burrowes said: “From comprehensive graduate development to executive coaching, we want our entire workforce to responsibly and confidently harness AI to enhance their work and deliver better client outcomes.
“We are embracing AI disruption and investing in the solutions and skills our people need to succeed in an AI-native environment.”
The company said its approach is based on developing both technology fluency and core human capabilities.
One of the initiatives is an eight‑week executive AI coaching course for all partners and managing directors. The course centres on how AI can be used in business transformation.
Meanwhile, new graduates will attend a week‑long residential AI immersion programme to gain hands‑on experience of AI in day‑to‑day work scenarios.
The company is also launching an AI foundations programme for all employees. This will include an AI skills compass baseline assessment, foundational capabilities training and practical workshops for tools such as ChatPwC and Copilot.
PwC Australia said it is adopting a skills‑first stance on talent development, adding tools intended to help teams identify existing strengths and build new capabilities through project work and client assignments.
According to the company, these measures are designed to equip its workforce to navigate a changing professional services environment and play a role in shaping how AI is integrated into future ways of working.
Earlier this week, PwC Australia said it will revamp hiring in its assurance division. It seeks to build teams with a broader blend of technical, analytical and problem-solving skills to meet the demands of an AI-enabled workplace.
