UK-based integrated accounting and advisory practice Affinia has agreed to combine with three practices of UHY Hacker Young, subject to regulatory and other approvals.
The merged business is expected to generate around £100m ($136m) in annual revenue and employ approximately 1,000 people across 17 offices.

As agreed, UHY Hacker Young’s London, Nottingham and Brighton operations will combine with Affinia.
Following completion, the combined company will be known as UHY Affinia and become part of the UHY Hacker Young Group, the wider UK network.
This will give the business a larger national footprint in the accountancy market.
The deal aligns with both organisations’ growth strategies and is intended to enable further investment in technology and systems for clients and staff.

The ten other UK member companies in the UHY Hacker Young network are not included in the transaction and will remain independent member practices.
In aggregate, UHY Affinia and the other UHY Hacker Young entities are expected to generate more than £150m in revenue. The companies said this positions the network among the UK’s top 25 national providers of accounting services.
Through UHY International membership, the wider network will have global revenues of more than $1bn, with over 360 offices in 95 countries.
The deal is Affinia’s largest transaction so far and comes amid ongoing consolidation in the UK accounting sector.
