By Zoya Malik

Katharina Rottenbacher, COO, IECnet

IECnet has announced that Ms. Katharina Rottenbacher has been appointed as IECnet new COO.

With a fee income of USD 191,5 million, IECnet is proud to be ranked 26th as reported in the 2022 International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) World Survey, confirming that IECnet belongs to the top 32 networks in the world. Present in more than 66 countries, the creation of IECnet COO (Chief Operation Officer) role is a key development for IECnet.

From Berlin, Germany, Ms. Katharina Rottenbacher has worked as a freelance editor for the last 15 years and has experience in projects management. Fluent in German, English & French, she will develop new projects which will launch IECnet into a modern accounting & audit network with new plans and designs.

Katharina Rottenbacher adds that “she looks forward to using her skills and experience as a project manager and her work with volunteers to support and promote IECnet. She wants to take IECnet to a higher level to further strengthen the benefits for all members. In doing so, it is the international nature of this network that makes the work so exciting and challenging”.

Vincent Domon, IECnet Chairman, comments that ‘ despite the tremendous efforts of volunteers providing a lot of skills and time to IECnet, we reached a level where it was quite hard to go ahead. Our COO will enable IECnet to coordinate and emphase all these skills and dedication. We are therefore very glad to now have Katharina Rottenbacher with us. The combination of her multicultural background with her capacity to lead a project will help us a lot. With the support of the current tasks already undertaken by members and Board members, we are going to be able to explore new horizons. Welcome on board and let’s commence that new journey.’

IECnet was formed in 1987 and its members have established an infrastructure of mutual support and share the highest standards of professional duties and client service. IECnet has around 80 members and, thanks to its medium size, extensive personal contacts have been established and strengthened between the members for their mutual benefit and, more importantly, for the benefit of their clients. With members located in six continents, IECnet can support its clients in all their international needs as well as local business requirements to an exceptionally high standard.
