Brown & Co, an accountancy practice based in the UK, has added five people to its workforce, citing increased demand from clients.

The company works from two locations, Thornton-Cleveleys and Kendal, Bdaily reported.

Three of the new starters are based at the Kendal office at Murley Moss Business Village. Tyreece Barrett and Christine Chapman have taken accountant roles, while Jed Capstick has joined as an assistant accountant.

In Thornton, at Marsh Mill Village, the practice recruited Frankie Crosthwaite and Issi-joi Mciver as assistant accountants.

These appointments follow continued expansion at Brown & Co, which has grown from five employees to 30 over the past six years.

The company supports organisations with accounting and business advisory work across Lancashire, Cumbria and other areas, and works with businesses at different stages of development.
