Professional services group S&W has expanded its operations by acquiring accountancy firm Haines Watts Scotland, which has offices in Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy, and Stirling.  

The acquisition increases S&W’s presence within the UK and continues the group’s recent northern expansion, following its acquisition of Haines Watts businesses in Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle during the previous year.

It brings 39 employees to S&W, including partner Graeme Miller.  

Haines Watts serves individuals and owner-managed businesses with accountancy and advisory services such as audit, tax advisory work, business outsourcing and compliance functions.

This is the fifth acquisition for S&W since it began operations in March 2025 with investment from Apax Funds.
