RSM UK has bolstered its risk and governance division by appointing Stephen Harrison as Scotland head of technology risk and internal controls.

In his new capacity, Harrison will oversee the internal controls and technology risk services in Scotland, while also playing a role in RSM’s national risk and governance framework.

The accounting firm said that the move is part of its strategy to expand its consulting services in sectors with stringent regulatory requirements and to assist clients in their digital transformation efforts.

Harrison brings with him more than 24 years of experience, primarily from major firms and industry positions, with a focus on financial services and large corporations.

His background includes advising senior executives on matters such as regulatory compliance, internal controls, technology process enhancements, policy implementation, programme and change risk, and data risk assurance.
