KPMG UK has appointed Bill Michael as its new chairman, effective 30 September 2017. He will take over from Simon Collins.

Michael has worked for KPMG for nearly 30 years and is currently the firm’s global head of banking and capital markets, leading a network of 17,000 professionals across audit, tax and advisory. Following the 2008 financial crisis, Michael was a specialist adviser to the UK’s Treasury Select Committee into banking standards. Recently, he has collaborated with industry leaders ahead of the Brexit negotiations.
