The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) is holding a summit involving 150 businesses and investors with the aim of promoting Integrated Reporting as a market led solution to corporate reports "that are failing to reveal the true value created by business activities".
Those taking part are members of the IIRC’s Pilot Programme, and have therefore been testing integrated reporting with a view to help develop the 1.0 Framework for integrated reporting, currently available for public comment until 15 July 2013.
Ahead of the conference, chief executive of the IIRC Paul Druckman said: "We convene the businesses and investors who are the pioneers of Integrated Reporting, a new model that is being piloted in 25 countries.
"We hope policymakers will take note of this global market-led movement. The result will be transparency with a purpose – the purpose being to transform the behaviour of businesses everywhere, as well as the behaviour of their investors".
The summit is being hosted by PwC in Frankfurt on 18 and 19 of June, and the final Framework 1.0 is due to be released in December 2013.
