Former Spanish Prime Minister (PM), Jose María Aznar, has been appointed advisor to John Scott, KPMG deputy global chairman and managing partner of the firm in Spain.

Aznar’s appointment is linked to Scott’s role as deputy global chairman. The former Spanish PM will provide Scott advice on macroeconomics and geopolitical issues.

Aznar was in office from 1996 to 2004. He currently sits on the board of directors of News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch’s media company, and is also senior advisor to the global law firm DLA Piper.
