Brett Davis has been appointed as general manager of Deloitte US Health Informatics (DHI), a new business line which will provide advanced analytics services and products to health care providers, researchers and medical manufacturers.

Davis previously worked at Oracle as a senior director of business development for the health sciences global business unit.

In February DHI announced an alliance with Intermountain Healthcare, which has extensive health-records from its 22 hospitals and 200 clinics which make up more than two trillion data elements.

Deloitte said Davis will aim to combine Intermountain’s Homer Warner Centre of researchers and Deloitte’s analytical capabilities in order to create a network which will improve costs, efficiency and drug development within the US health system.
