BDO US acquires east coast firm

BDO US has acquired Argy, Wiltse & Robinson (Argy) strengthening its east coast operations.

The addition will add 200 staff member and 26 partners.

Argy is based in McLean, Virginia and also has offices across the east coast in Maryland and Florida.

BDO US chief executive Wayne Berson said the addition, combined with existing practices in Philadelphia, Wilmington, Bethesda, Richmond, Charlotte and Raleigh, helps build a more prominent presence for BDO in the Atlantic region

Argy’s chief executive Paul Argy said joining BDO US provides the firm with a national and international platform for serving clients, "while maintaining a practice philosophy very compatible to our own". "BDO’s reputation as a favorable workplace will fit well with our focus on work/life balance and strategy for attracting and retaining the best and brightest professionals," he said.
