BDO’s East Africa practice has added a member firm in Ethiopia.
The BDO East Africa practice currently has firms in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
The Ethiopian firm, formerly Next Consult, is a full service firm operating out of an office in Addis Ababa employing 25 partners and staff.
The firm’s managing partner Million Kibret said: "Our firm has seen consistent growth since its founding and our service offering has increased accordingly, now covering financial advisory services, training and business process outsourcing, amongst others".
"We have strong working relationships with BDO East Africa already and as a result have served a number of BDO clients, some of which are very high profile and contribute significantly to the Ethiopian economy. We are happy to augment our local knowledge with BDO’s global knowledge base," he added.
BDO EMEA chief executive Anders Heede said the network was "committed to the fast-growing continent of Africa, in which international interest continues to rise".
