UK-based accounting firm HB&O has partnered with Validera, a specialist internal audit firm based in Staffordshire, to tackle the shortage of external audit professionals in the education sector.

The partnership will focus on providing a broader range of services tailored to educational institutions, moving beyond conventional internal and external audit practices.

HB&O, recognised as one of the Midlands’ prominent independent accountancy firms, specialises in compliance, taxation, and external audits.

The partnership will combine the strengths of both firms to better support educational organisations, with plans to extend services to the broader public and third sectors as well.

The collaboration will provide a unified audit service, complemented by additional offerings such as guidance on funding regulations, income streams, VAT advisory services, and governance assessments.

The two firms established their connection through DFK UK & Ireland, part of a global network of accounting firms, and identified the potential to enhance their service capabilities to meet an evident market need.
