Grant Thornton UK has appointed David Pike as an equity partner to head its London Turnaround and Restructuring division.

In the role, Pike will work alongside Kevin Coates, who continues to lead the company’s national restructuring practice.

Pike is a long-established practitioner in London’s restructuring market.

His arrival is intended to enhance the company’s capacity to support clients undergoing strategic shifts and operational changes.

Pike joins from Interpath Advisory, where he was the head of the London Restructuring Group.

Before helping to establish Interpath, he served as a partner at KPMG.

Throughout his career, Pike has advised boards and stakeholders on turnaround and restructuring, taken on high-profile and complex insolvency mandates, and appeared as an expert witness.

His work spans both UK and international matters, with assignments in the Americas, Europe, Asia and a range of offshore jurisdictions.

Grant Thornton expects the appointment to bolster its ability to support clients experiencing acute financial stress, complex multi-stakeholder restructurings and strategy development tailored to current market conditions.
