Forvis Mazars has appointed James Abbott as audit partner for its Industry & Services (I&S) team based in Manchester, UK.

The I&S practice delivers audit and assurance work for organisations listed on the London Stock Exchange, Alternative Investment Market, and on other overseas regulated markets and large corporates across multiple industries.

Abbott has spent 15 years in audit, working with clients in the consultancy, gaming, life sciences, manufacturing, professional services, media and technology fields.

His experience is centred on handling technically demanding audit and accounting issues for both privately owned companies and multinational businesses.

In Manchester, Abbott will oversee the next phase of growth for the I&S audit team.

His responsibilities will include enhancing audit quality and widening the company’s reach in priority sectors across the North.

His arrival comes as the Manchester office prepares to relocate to larger premises to accommodate the team’s expansion.
