Professional services group DJH has broadened its footprint in the Liverpool area of the UK by bringing Bootle-based accountancy practice SB&P into the group.

DJH said the move strengthens its ties with the Liverpool business community by incorporating an established local practice into its network.
SB&P director Wendy McNulty will continue to lead SB&P following the deal, working alongside Rob Young and Suzanne Draper.
The trio will oversee the rollout of additional services made available through DJH, including estate planning, capital allowances, research and development tax credits, corporate finance and technology support.
McNulty said: “We have always believed that real relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Joining DJH gives our team and our clients access to a much wider platform, while preserving the personal, advice-led culture we have worked so hard to build.”
The SB&P team will also be able to access group-wide support functions including human resources (HR), recruitment, training and development, and assistance with growing regulatory and compliance obligations.
DJH already operates across the North West of the UK, with teams in Liverpool city, Chester city, Ellesmere Port and the Wirral.

DJH is backed by private equity specialist Tenzing and now employs close to 775 people across the UK and Ireland.
In February this year, DJH completed the rebranding of McBrides Accountants, which is now operating as DJH Bexley.
