Dains, a UK-based accountancy and advisory services provider, has announced the appointment of John Williams as its chief performance officer (CPO).
In his new role, Williams will be tasked with shaping Dains’ strategic agenda and operating structures as the group seeks to expand through both organic growth and acquisitions.

Additionally, Williams will direct regional and partner performance across the practice. His responsibilities include supporting the execution of Dains’ wider strategy and helping to ensure the group is equipped to handle rising demand for its services.
Dains CEO Richard McNeilly said: “John’s appointment reflects the scale of our ambition and the pace at which Dains continues to grow.
“John brings a strong track record of driving performance, integrating acquisitions and building scalable structures that support long-term growth.”
Williams moves to Dains from Radius, where he spent seven years as finance director of the Fuel, Telematics and Emerging Business units.

Before joining Radius, Williams spent more than two decades with EY and Deloitte between 1997 and 2018.
Williams said: “Dains has built impressive momentum in recent years. What attracted me to the group is its clear ambition, strong culture and commitment to delivering real value to clients.
“My focus will be on ensuring we have the right operating framework, capacity and performance discipline in place to support the next phase of growth.”
Earlier this month, Dains expanded to the North West market with the acquisition of Hurst.
