UK-based accountancy practice Cooper Parry (CP) has appointed three senior professionals to its team, following the recent hiring of Adam Waller.  

The new hires are Nick Hatton, Arif Ahmad and Laura Bevan.

The new appointments are part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its services in the UK and Ireland. 

Hatton will take on the role of partner and head of transaction tax.  

His background includes more than 25 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and EY. He will be responsible for leading the growth of the company’s transaction tax services, with a focus on the private equity mid-market sector.  

Arif Ahmad is appointed as regional market leader for Yorkshire & North East and will also serve as audit relationship partner.

He spent 28 years at PwC and has held positions including head of the Leeds office and head of North of England private business and private equity.  

Ahmad is also actively involved in various business and community initiatives including the launch of a sports facility in Bradford and contributions to Harewood House Trust and St Peter’s School York.  

He is a co-founder of Stronger Together Leeds. 

Bevan joins Cooper Parry as assurance director with experience in environmental, social and governance and assurance from her 12-year tenure at PwC, where she led the sustainability practice for PwC Wales.
