Citrin Cooperman has purchased nearly all the assets of HW&Co., an accounting and advisory firm based in Ohio, US.

This acquisition boosts Citrin Cooperman’s presence in the Midwest and broadens its range of services, allowing it to support clients across various sectors, including healthcare, nonprofit, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, and agriculture.

HW&Co. becomes part of Citrin Cooperman, bringing with it 14 partners and more than 140 staff members.

Citrin Cooperman Advisors CEO Alan Badey said: “We are thrilled to welcome HW&Co. into the Citrin Cooperman family.

“Their strong reputation in the Midwest and dedication to client success make them an excellent fit for our firm. This acquisition allows us to expand our footprint and enhance the services we offer to our clients.”

The transaction will involve two separate acquisitions. Citrin Cooperman Advisors will acquire the non-attest assets, while Citrin Cooperman & Company will take on the attest assets of HW&Co.
