US-based accounting practice Cherry Bekaert has acquired Tarsus, an accounting and advisory provider headquartered in Washington, DC.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Tarsus operates additional offices in California, Missouri and Bangalore, India.

It delivers outsourced accounting and bookkeeping services, as well as real-time financial reporting and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.

Its offering also includes strategic chief financial officer (CFO) services and data insights designed to support management teams.

Tarsus specialises in outsourced accounting solutions for clients in sectors such as technology, government contracting, staffing, private equity and professional services.

In August last year, Cherry Bekaert acquired Jameson & Company CPAs, an accountancy practice specialising in outsourced services for small federal government contractors and grant-funded organisations.

The acquisition aims to reinforce Cherry Bekaert’s Government Contractor Consulting Services by incorporating Jameson’s expertise in government contract and grant compliance.
