It is aimed at reducing the time owners spend on routine, manual administrative work and increasing the use of financial data in day-to-day and longer-term planning.

For advisors, the service is intended to shift effort away from repetitive tasks and towards work such as analysis, financial management, problem-solving and strategic guidance.

The service brings together the competence of BDO’s national advisory team and new features in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

According to a BDO Canada statement, BDO Powered by Intuit QuickBooks will enable direct advice from BDO professionals and real-time visibility of financial data and performance measures shared between businesses and their advisors.

It also includes AI-led automation intended to reduce friction in everyday accounting work, alongside a model to support business growth.

The partnership also introduces benchmarking tools for comparing results with peers.
