Aprio, a US-based business advisory and accounting firm, has revealed plans to consolidate its Aprio Firm Alliance and Aprio Professional Services+ (PS+) into a single community named Aprio Alliance, starting January 2026.

The forthcoming Aprio Alliance is set to encompass close to 90 independent accounting firms spanning the US and Canada.

The combined network will extend access to a range of Aprio’s advisory services, including technology support, leadership and career development programmes, member-only events, peer collaboration initiatives, and data-focused financial insights.

A centralised digital platform is also planned to house tools, templates, and collaborative resources for members.

Aprio has outlined that the alliance aims to strengthen connections among firm partners, practice leaders, client service professionals, and support teams.

Aprio Alliance will offer members avenues to participate and collaborate at all levels within their firms, linking partners, practice leaders, client service staff, and functional teams to encourage wider cooperation and development across the organisation.

Aprio CEO Richard Kopelman said: “The creation of Aprio Alliance represents the next evolution of how we support firms. By bringing together two complementary communities, we are giving members more ways to learn from each other, grow their teams, and deliver even greater value to clients.”

Additional features for participants include an expanded member services team, partnerships with more than 30 vendors, a curriculum of technical and non-technical CPE courses through the Aprio Learning Platform, as well as benchmarking and coaching tools exclusive to the network.

Previously, Aprio Firm Alliance has served as a collaborative platform for smaller and mid-sized accounting firms.

Earlier in 2025, Aprio acquired the Professional Services+ division from RSM US LLP, widening its scope to offer wider-ranging advisory support in areas such as strategy, talent management, operational improvement, and leadership.

Dean Sengstock, who currently leads the Professional Services+ practice at Aprio, will oversee the new alliance.

The group will be supported by a dedicated team focused on delivering services and expanding assistance to member firms across North America.

Sengstock said: “By reimagining the alliance model, we’re challenging the status quo — bringing together the best of both models, more collaboration, more resources, and more opportunities for every firm in the community.”
