Glenn Collins, head of policy at ACCA, commented: “ACCA is pleased that HMRC has listened to the calls for flexibility from accountants and agreed to waive late filing penalties until the end of February. Although we asked for a later date, we are happy that HMRC has recognised the need for some breathing space and allowed some extra time before issuing penalties. We would ask that they keep the situation under review.”
