The acquisition of the West Coast-headquartered practice is expected to broaden CohnReznick’s geographical footprint, the company said in a statement.
Aldrich has more than 500 professionals and 48 partners, with offices in the states of Washington, Oregon, California and Utah, as well as an expanded presence in San Diego and Denver.
Aldrich partner and CEO John Lauseng said: “For more than 50 years, the decisions we have made at Aldrich have been guided by what is best for our people, our clients and our communities.
“Joining CohnReznick gives our people greater opportunities to grow, expands the capabilities and resources we can bring to our clients, and allows us to build on the relationships, culture and commitment to our communities that have defined Aldrich.
“We are excited about what we can accomplish together, particularly as Aldrich becomes the cornerstone of CohnReznick’s new West Region.”
The deal will enhance CohnReznick’s capabilities in the private client services, construction, telecommunications, manufacturing and distribution (M&D) and agribusiness sectors.
The transaction is expected to close in mid-December 2026.
It follows a series of CohnReznick expansions over the past year, including opening offices in Houston, Minneapolis, Richmond, San Francisco, Tallahassee and Tampa.
The company has pursued organic growth and selective mergers and acquisitions, with the strategy now continuing under its partnership with Apax Funds.
Commenting on the Aldrich deal, CohnReznick Advisory CEO David Kessler said: “This is a significant milestone in CohnReznick’s growth and an important investment in our future.
“Aldrich brings exceptional talent, strong market leadership and highly complementary capabilities, including a wealth management platform that creates an important new avenue for growth and expands the solutions we can bring to clients.”
Earlier this year, CohnReznick appointed Brett Long as an assurance partner in its Commercial Real Estate industry practice.
