The appointment establishes a “dedicated assurance presence” in Charlotte following the company’s acquisition of Pesta Finnie in November 2025, it added in the statement.

FD Assurance head Sean Lager said: “Jeremy’s experience and leadership will be an asset to both our Charlotte team and our broader Assurance Practice.

“As we continue to expand, adding talented leaders in key markets is critical to our ability to serve clients locally while bringing the resources and capabilities of a national practice to every engagement.”

Jacobs has more than a decade of experience advising privately held and middle-market companies across the technology, automotive, hospitality, manufacturing and distribution sectors.

His professional background centres on leading audit, review and advisory engagements.

Alongside his client work, Jacobs participates in several regional and industry bodies in the Charlotte area.

Jacobs said: “Frazier & Deeter has built an impressive reputation for delivering exceptional client service while continuing to invest in its people and growth.

“I am excited to join the firm at such an important time and help build on the momentum in Charlotte. I look forward to working with our clients and teams across the region.”

Last month, FD acquired Gray, Gray & Gray, an accounting and business advisory practice in Canton, Massachusetts.
