Aventur partners with GayWealth to expand LGBT+ financial advice

Financial advice firm Aventur has partnered with GayWealth, a service focused on financial guidance for LGBT+ clients.

The partnership unites Aventur’s regulatory framework with Zoë’s specialised expertise and community reach.

Under the arrangement, GayWealth.com will refer clients to advisers operating through Aventur’s regulatory framework.

Through GayWealth.com, clients will be able to seek financial guidance on mortgages, protection, retirement and investment planning.

The service will also cover joint applications for same-sex couples, planning for non-traditional family structures, finances connected to transition, and later-life wealth planning.

According to Aventur, the partnership will address financial challenges faced by LGBT+ people in the UK, including lower rates of life insurance and retirement savings.

GayWealth founder Zoë Chowney will head the specialist service.

Zoë Chowney is a qualified accountant, entrepreneur, trans woman, and LGBT+ advocate. Chowney has held senior positions at Allianz and AIG.

She also served as European managing director of Sequoia-backed Kenshoo.

Chowney said: “I started GayWealth because I couldn’t find the type of financial advice I needed when I needed it most.
