In his new role, Anand will direct the development of AI products and capabilities for both Baker Tilly and its clients.

His team will develop reusable technologies and tools intended to accelerate the commercialisation of promising concepts.

The firm will assess these investments against measures including adoption, productivity, financial impact and client value.

Miles said. “AI is rapidly reshaping our industry and creating new possibilities for how we serve clients.

“Vijay brings a combination of technology, product and transformation experience that builds on the momentum already underway at Baker Tilly.

“His leadership will help us accelerate our AI strategy, scale differentiated capabilities and create new sources of value for our clients.”

Anand has more than 30 years of experience across technology leadership, product development and business transformation.

His previous senior roles include positions at Intuit, Oracle and Sun Microsystems.

Anand has already worked with Baker Tilly on strategic AI initiatives, including efforts linked to the firm’s recently announced collaboration with Ode with Anthropic.

The appointment forms part of Baker Tilly’s next stage of AI strategy, as it expands investment in products and capabilities for clients while applying AI across internal processes and employee tools.

Anand said: “Baker Tilly has deep industry expertise and a clear opportunity to pair that knowledge with AI in ways that solve real client problems.

“The focus is not technology for technology’s sake.

“It is identifying where AI can make a meaningful difference, building those capabilities with discipline and bringing them to clients in ways that deliver measurable results.”

Earlier this month, Baker Tilly appointed Tom Broderick as its new chief growth officer.
