In his new role at S&W, Soor will support businesses managing substantial capital programmes by providing advice on tax depreciation, capital allowances and related incentive frameworks.
S&W Business Tax head Mark Webb said: “Hari’s appointment reflects our continued investment in strengthening and broadening our business tax capabilities.
“Hari brings extensive experience advising businesses on investment-related tax incentives and complex capital projects, making him a valuable addition to our growing team.
“His expertise will further enhance our ability to support clients as they navigate increasingly complex tax legislation and investment decisions.”
Soor specialises in capital allowances and tax incentives, bringing around 25 years of experience advising organisations on major capital investments across the energy, transport, infrastructure, construction and real estate sectors.
Earlier in his career, Soor spent more than two decades at KPMG, where he served as an equity partner and headed the company’s UK capital allowances division.
His addition expands S&W’s capacity to deliver tax advisory services to mid-market companies, private equity-backed enterprises and large corporate organisations.
Soor said: “I am delighted to be joining S&W at such an exciting stage in its growth.
“As businesses continue to invest in their operations and expansion plans, access to specialist advice on capital allowances and tax incentives is becoming increasingly important.
“S&W has a strong reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm to help clients maximise the value of their investments and achieve their growth ambitions.”
S&W recently hired Chris Hemsley to strengthen the newly launched economic advisory practice.
Earlier this month, the group also appointed Pamela Collie as a partner in its corporate and international tax practice in London.
