UK-based accountancy and business advisory practice Saffery has appointed four senior tax professionals across its offices in Edinburgh and Inverness in Scotland.

The appointments are aimed at strengthening the company’s capabilities in corporate tax and professional partnerships.

In Edinburgh, Emma Siegel has joined as corporate tax director from Forvis Mazars.

She has more than ten years of experience advising owner-managed businesses and large corporate groups on UK corporation tax, including transactions, reorganisations and succession planning.

Also joining the Edinburgh office is Susan Pattison, who has been appointed as corporate tax senior manager, joining from Henderson Loggie.

She works with charities and cultural organisations on corporate tax and cultural tax reliefs, including Museums & Galleries and Theatre Tax Reliefs.

Patricia Bell has joined as a tax senior manager in Edinburgh from Ashurst, where she spent seven years in the in-house tax team. She focuses on tax reserving, high-net-worth tax compliance, pension planning and offering capital gains tax advice.

In Inverness, Lois Tack has been hired as a corporate tax senior manager. She was most recently at Azets and specialises in advising on research and development tax relief and Patent Box tax relief.
