BDO Alliance USA has added Marble’s AI tax software to its Vendor Marketing Programme, giving the alliance’s clients and independent members access to the technology.

Marble’s platform is built to support tax research and the processes involved in preparing tax returns. This includes document drafting and client intake processes.

The platform is “grounded” in federal and state tax law and structured to align with how contemporary tax teams operate, a statement said.

Under the agreement, businesses and professional services companies within BDO Alliance USA will be able to use Marble’s AI tools directly.

Marble CEO Bhavin Shah said: “Independent and regional firms are taking on more complex returns with fewer people, and Marble gives their professionals AI solutions – so they can get citation-backed answers to tax questions, draft memos and client communications, and move through engagements faster without compromising accuracy.

“We looked for an association with the singular combination of reach and experience offered by the BDO Alliance USA, so we are excited about what our inclusion in its Vendor Marketing Programme means to us and our customers.”

BDO Alliance USA is an association of independently owned local and regional companies in accounting, consulting and related services.

Explaining the decision, BDO Alliance USA Business Resource Network practice leader Tom Takasaki said: “Marble’s inclusion in the Vendor Marketing Programme is part of our objective of offering our Alliance members a greater competitive advantage by giving them the ability to leverage additional value-added resources.

“We strive to establish relationships with product and service providers that can offer the kind of forward-looking capabilities that our Alliance members and their clients need.”

In April this year, BDO USA appointed Jim Maza as its next chief information officer.
