German professional services group ETL Global has moved its headquarters to the Grid in Essen, bringing together several of its previously dispersed offices in the city.

The company noted that the new head office is located at Kruppstraße 4, a short walk from Essen Central Station.

The building features eight office floors with around 900 workplaces.

Its double-X architectural layout was developed to maximise use of a deep inner-city plot while allowing extensive natural light into the office spaces, the company said.

The office layout is designed to offer a “modern, central and well-connected working environment” and accommodate both concentrated individual work and collaborative projects.

ETL described the relocation as a key milestone in its ongoing development.

The group’s presence in Essen has expanded in recent years, with more staff, a wider range of activities and new forms of collaboration.

Bringing teams together in one building is seen internally as the next step, reducing distances between departments and establishing a “stronger common base” for future growth.

The company added that the Grid unites all Essen-based ETL teams under one roof for the first time.

“The move to the Grid, under the shared motto ‘Zusammen wachsen’ (growing together), connects this origin with the next phase of ETL’s development: closer cooperation and more room to grow together in a joint infrastructure,” the statement added.

In March this year, ETL Global integrated Siconting into ETL Global Portugal to further broaden its professional base.
