Muldoon serves more than 860 clients across multiple sectors, providing accounting, tax, audit and advisory services.

It employs more than 40 people and is led by managing partner Raymond Tiffney, alongside Sean Muldoon and Robbie Barr.

All three will stay on after the deal, and the company will immediately rebrand to Azets.

Tiffney said: “This is an important and positive step for our business, our people and our clients.

“Throughout this process, what mattered most to us was finding a partner that aligned with our culture, values and client-first approach. We believe we have found that in Azets.

“Joining Azets gives us access to broader specialist expertise, deeper capability and increased investment, while preserving the relationships and local approach that define Muldoon today.”

Azets said that the transaction strengthens its presence across the UK and Ireland and gives it a foothold for further growth in NI.

Azets UK & Ireland CEO Peter Gallanagh said: “Muldoon is a highly respected business with a strong reputation, excellent people and deep client relationships.

“This partnership strengthens our UK and Ireland business and establishes our first presence in Northern Ireland through a firm that shares our relationship-led approach, long-term mindset and commitment to clients.

“We are delighted to welcome Raymond, Sean, Robbie and the wider team to Azets.”

Last month, Azets appointed Nicola MacAulay as its new private client tax partner in Kent, UK.
