UK-based accountancy and advisory practice Azets has expanded its senior team by appointing Tina Warhurst as corporate tax director in its Manchester office.

Warhurst will focus on supporting Azets’ growing base of businesses across the North West, drawing on a career largely spent in complex corporate tax compliance and governance.

Azets Manchester office managing partner Graham Rigby said: “With ever evolving and complex UK tax regulations being introduced, the level of compliance facing companies continues to rise, as does tax requirements as they grow.

Warhurst has spent around two decades at ‘Big 4’ company KPMG, finishing her time there within its national corporate tax compliance team.

Previously, she worked at accounting and business advisory practice BDO in Manchester, where she advised a wide range of organisations on managing their corporate tax responsibilities and control frameworks.

Warhurst said: “Azets’ reputation in the sector is second to none and I look forward to supporting companies with their tax compliance obligations.

“I have built up many years of experience working nationally and internationally with clients, including in-house leading the tax team for Yorkshire Building Society.

“This has given me further insights into the many facets of UK tax, which I will be utilising for the benefit of Azets’ clients across the region.”

Azets operates a network of offices in Bolton, Burnley, Lancaster, Manchester, Nottingham, Preston, Shrewsbury, St Asaph and Stockport.

In January of this year, Azets announced that its UK Corporate Finance team completed 124 deals in 2025.
