Law firm DMH Stallard has acted for Sussex-based SimplyVAT on its sale to UK-headquartered AVASK Global Compliance.

SimplyVAT, founded in 2014, provides value added tax (VAT) advice to e-commerce businesses.

The business has developed from its Sussex base into an international VAT advisory provider supporting online sellers worldwide.

AVASK, which operates from offices across several regions, offers a technology-driven compliance platform.

Its services span VAT, customs, environmental taxes including extended producer responsibility, and wider international regulatory compliance.

DMH Stallard provided corporate, commercial and strategic legal advice to SimplyVAT on the transaction.

The mandate was led by DMH Stallard corporate partner Kate Partridge.
