HLB Mann Judd has announced four senior promotions across its Australasian association as the network continues to expand its advisory and accounting capabilities.

The association has elevated three professionals to partner: Donna Arnold and Warrick Oakes in Sydney, and David Prescott in Perth.

In Adelaide, Troy Smith has been promoted to director.

The latest round of promotions follows a November intake that added three partners and six directors across the association’s companies.

HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association chair Mark Muller said: “Our profession is evolving rapidly with increasing complexity across all practices. Demand for sophisticated tax advice, transaction support and innovation incentives is accelerating, making deep technical capability more critical than ever for our clients.

“These promotions highlight the areas where we see the greatest need – complex corporate and international tax, M&A [mergers and acquisitions] and valuation expertise, business advisory and R&D [research and development]-focused growth strategies.

In Sydney, Arnold joins the partnership with more than 15 years’ tax advisory experience including senior roles at the Australian Taxation Office, with a focus on corporate and international tax. Oakes, who joined the Sydney corporate advisory team in 2016, specialises in M&A.

Prescott began his career at HLB Mann Judd as a cadet in 2007, spent nine years with the company before working in the UK and returned to the Perth office in 2018. His work centres on taxation advice and compliance.

In Adelaide, Smith becomes a director with a focus on R&D tax.

The HLB Mann Judd Australasian network now comprises 12 independent member operators across major cities and regional centres in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, along with one representative practice.
