The move comes shortly after the Financial Reporting Council’s annual review was published.
Aiimi’s platform leverages AI to assist organisations in locating, governing, and unlocking value within enterprise data, enabling firms to operationalise AI securely and address complex challenges.
The company’s technology and services are currently utilised by several firms, including the Financial Conduct Authority, PwC UK, multiple FTSE 100 firms, as well as the UK Government.
KPMG’s latest agreement with the firm follows a comprehensive pilot programme, which tested the AI-powered platform and led to a three-year contract between them.

By GlobalDataIn the next stage of the partnership, Aiimi’s specialist consultants and workplace AI platform will focus on integrating, classifying, and optimising KPMG’s extensive data estate.
This approach aims to protect sensitive data and provide consultants with the insights required to deliver services that align with changing regulatory requirements.
Additionally, the platform is expected to help establish robust data foundations, which are necessary for the safe deployment of new AI solutions in the future.
KPMG UK chief data officer Chris Allen said: “The Aiimi platform gives us that trust. It helps us better understand what data we have across the estate. If data has limited value and there’s no regulatory requirement to retain it; we delete it.
“If it’s something we want to keep then Aiimi helps us to intelligently classify that data, tag it in-situ and make it available to downstream AI applications in a way which respects retention rules, access controls, and the contractual obligations we have to our clients and audited entities.”
