O’Hara’s career spans more than two decades in business development, channel sales, and ecosystem transformation.

Her new position at Sage will involve scaling the partner ecosystem, enhancing growth through business models, and capitalising on AI and cloud advancements.  

Sage chief commercial officer Eduardo Rosini said: “Gretchen’s experience in scaling ecosystems, driving partner profitability, and delivering customer outcomes positions her to accelerate high performance across the channel.  

“With her leadership, we’ll bring AI and innovation to the forefront, helping partners accelerate time to revenue and create new growth opportunities that deliver greater value for SMBs.”  

Previously, O’Hara held the position of vice president of Worldwide Channels and Alliances at Splunk, part of Cisco, where she spearheaded the transformation of the global partner ecosystem and strategy. Her work involved forming alliances to support customers in complex cloud environments.

Her prior experience includes an 18-year stint at Microsoft, where she held various executive roles related to sustainability, AI and market strategies.

The appointment follows Sage’s recent launch of an AI-driven Making Tax Digital tool for Income Tax, designed to simplify the tax update process. This tool is set to become part of the Sage Copilot offerings and is scheduled for release in October 2025.
