Perth-based accounting firm Carbon Group has completed its second acquisition in 2025, joining forces with local bookkeeping company The Outsource Group to strengthen its operations in Western Australia.

Business News Australia has reported that this acquisition comes after the firm’s earlier 2025 purchase of KPI Business Advisory, based in Adelaide.

Both deals focused on enhancing Carbon Group’s bookkeeping and chief financial officer services.

The two companies, which have worked together informally for the past year, aim to provide practical client support and assist small businesses.

Carbon Group partner Dale Ettridge was quoted by the media outlet as saying: “The Outsource Group team is a fantastic cultural fit for Carbon. They’re switched on, client-focused and genuinely care about the work they do. We’re excited to have them on board.”

The Outsource Group’s employees have relocated to Carbon Group’s Osborne Park office, where roughly 100 of its 260 national staff are based.

Established in 2014 by Jamie Davison and Nathan Hood, Carbon Group offers small businesses with integrated advice and links its partner performance to client outcomes.

In 2024, the firm opened its sixth Queensland office in Toowoomba through a collaboration with Noye Partners.

This came after a series of 2023 acquisitions across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia.

The firm also acquired Legal Practice Management, Keeping Numbers, Kensington Financial Group, Harding Martin, Numeric 8, Ezetax, MG Partners and Davenports, Integrity Wealth, and Rad Bookkeeping & Business Solutions.

The Outsource Group director Craig Rappeport said: “We’ve built our business on practical advice, genuine relationships and helping clients make smarter decisions.

“Joining forces with Carbon allows us to stay true to that mission, with the added strength of a national team behind us.”
