Two senior financial consultants have left KPMG barely three weeks after their boss Tim Howarth left the firm following an investigation into his conduct. The investigation focused on his use of the Whatsapp messaging service.

The Financial Times reports that Mike Walters, previously head of compliance at Barclays before joining KPMG in 2013 as head of financial risk management, and Harps Sidhu, KPMG’s head of capital markets consulting, are to leave the firm at the end of this month.

KPMG’s financial consulting unit is one of the firm’s largest business groupings in the UK. Lisa Fernihough was appointed as Tim Howarth’s replacement in August.
