Baker Tilly International US member firm
Weaver has announced plans to merge with Elms Faris as of 1
June.

The merger will represent Weaver’s first
expansion into the west Texas region of Midland/Odessa.

The merger will see all of Elms Faris’ 53
employees, including 39 accountants and consultants and six
partners, join the combined firm.

Elms Faris partner Larry Edgerton has been
appointed as executive partner in the Midland/Odessa market.
Edgerton has been leading Elms Faris as managing partner since
1999.

Elms Faris was established in 1938 and claims to be one of the
oldest and largest CPA and consulting firms in the Permian
Basin.

Weaver managing partner and chief executive Tommy Lawler
commented: “Merging with Elms Faris will not only build our
footprint and revenue, but it will also increase the depth of our
niche practices including oil and gas, manufacturing and
distribution and state and local government.”
