Shona Godefroy has been appointed as new managing partner for Thomas Westcott. She takes over the leadership of the practice from Chairman Richard Thomas, who founded the firm in 1985 and is stepping down after 34 years.
Thomas Westcott has 275 staff including 35 partners and directors based in 17 offices across Devon and Somerset in southwest England Over the last four years, the company has almost doubled in size as a result of merging with other firms. With a range of specialist teams, the group advises a diverse mix of businesses.
Godefroy joined in 2007 from big four firm EY and has more than 25 years’ accountancy experience. Formerly Deputy Managing Partner, she is head of the audit and assurance team. She is also a trustee of the Theatre Royal Plymouth and chair of governors at a local primary school.
