Global tax advisory group Taxand has expanded
its Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) presence with a new office in
Austria.

Taxand Austria provides multi-disciplinary tax
and legal services to multinationals and local clients across
industry sectors including banking, private equity, production,
real estate and tourism.

The expansion follows an increasing number of
Austrian companies investing in CEE countries and an increase in
CEE companies basing their operations in Vienna.

Taxand chairman Frédéric Donnedieu de Vabres
said that as Austria develops as a hub for multinational companies
operating in CEE, there is clearly client demand for independent
cross-border tax advice.

The Austria office is Taxand’s second new CEE
office this year, following the opening of an office in
Hungary.

Taxand has 300 tax partners and 2,000 tax
advisers in 48 countries.
