Mid-tier network Russell Bedford
International has expanded its Eastern European coverage by
admitting its first Ukrainian member firms, Degression Group and
Dobson Analytic.

Degression Group is based in Kiev and was
founded in 2001 as a financial audit firm. The firm now provides a
range of services including audit, legal, tax consulting and IFRS

The firm is owned by Marina Karpenko, a
specialist in financial statement auditing and Ukrainian taxation,
and Andrey Goncharuk, an IFRS specialist and head of the firm’s
IFRS department, which deals with the compilation, consolidation,
preparation and editing of IFRS statements.

Dobson Analytic is also based in Kiev and was
founded in 2000. It provides asset appraisals and valuations,
accounting services and bookkeeping.

The firm is headed by general manager Svetlana
Slugina, who has 16 years of experience as an auditor, and Anatoly

The two firms have a combined workforce of 40
staff and serve 260 clients across sectors such as agro-industry,
building and construction, transport, food production, financial
services, medicine, oil and gas and real estate.

The mid-tier network has already made five
other admissions to its membership this year. The most recent is
Hua-Ander CPAs, a partnership of firms in Beijing, China.

Mungarrieta & Asociados based in Valencia,
Venezuela was admitted in August and has four partners and 20
permanent staff.

The network also welcomed Lithuanian firm UAB
Gaudera, which provides audit, accounting, tax and financial
consulting services, as well as examination and analysis of
accounting systems, estate valuation assistance and corporate

InterACM Group based in Beirut, Lebanon,
provides a full range of audit, tax and accounting services.

ZIG Consulting, a four partner firm based in
Albania joined earlier this year.

In the International Accounting Bulletin’s
2008 world survey (see IAB 440), Russell Bedford International
ranked 15th in the network section with fee income of $348 million,
4,830 staff and 510 partners.
