RSM International has appointed its first
full-time regional director in Latin America.

Robert Burdett, previously the head of
RSM McGladrey’s international office in Chicago, will work across
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela, focusing on
developing international business growth and RSM services in the
region.

Burdett has more than 15 years of experience
in public accounting and has held several high-profile leadership
roles in the industry.

Burdett sees ‘untapped potential’ in the
region and plans to make RSM a stronger mid-tier network
by building member firms in every commercially important
market.

“Latin America is a very important region for
us and we are seeing growth opportunities in areas such as
transaction support and specialised risk management work,” RSM
International chief executive Jean Stephens said.
