Global professional services firm Rödl & Partner has
continued its expansion into Asia by opening a new office in Hanoi,
Vietnam. This is the firm’s second office in the southeast Asian
nation; the first opened a year ago in Ho Chi Minh City.
Rödl & Partner Asia Pacific head Barbara Scharrer told
IAB the firm has been expanding its services in Asia
continuously during the past ten years. “Due to joining the World
Trade Organisation, Vietnam has opened up its market for
international investors,” Scharrer said. “A lot of Rödl &
Partner’s clients are currently investing in Vietnam. So the
decision was easily taken to build up an office first in Ho Chi
Minh City and now in Hanoi. Vietnam, with its dynamic growth, is
the rising star to offer the international business community
unique chances and possibilities.”
The new office will bring the number of Rödl & Partner offices
around the world to 78 and add another eight professional staff to
its global workforce of 2,550.
Rödl & Partner’s new Hanoi entity will specialise in tax and
legal services for international investors. It will also pay
specific focus to company acquisitions in Vietnam.
“The newly-established office will offer many services including
consulting services, such as human resources, mergers and
acquisitions, to the setting up of legal presences in the form of
100 percent foreign-owned companies. And of course, joint ventures,
representative offices including licensing and post-licensing
procedures, tax and financial due diligence transaction, transfer
pricing and so on. We are convinced that the Vietnam economy will
continue to grow at a high rate and that Rödl & Partner will
strengthen its position,” Scharrer said.
