UK healthcare group Bupa has appointed PwC to become its global auditor from January 2021. PwC came out the winner of a 6-month long competitive tender process.

KPMG, the group’s current auditor, was paid £7.7m in 2018, including audit fees of £7.1m, non-audit fees of 0.6m and a fee of £48,100 to audit the Bupa pension scheme.

KPMG did not take part in the tender process under the mandatory auditor rotation rules that require all UK public interest entities to rotate their statutory auditor.
