PwC UK has appointed five non-executives in
accordance to the new governance code for audit firms.
The non-executives are Karen Dunnell, Ian
Gibson, Andrew Hamilton, Richard Lapthorne and Paul Skinner.
Sitting on PwC’s UK newly-constituted Public
Interest Body, their responsibilities include enhancing confidence
in the public interest aspects of the firm’s decision-making and
encouraging dialogue between the firm and key stakeholders.
The new governance code, primarily designed to
serve shareholders in listed companies, was established by the
Financial Reporting Council and the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales.
